Requirements Elicitation

Design & Development

Our Leadership

Newedge Consulting, headquartered in Houston TX, was co-founded in 2009 by Ling and Erik Sondersted.



Ling is a graduate from Cornell's computer engineering school, starting her career as a consultant at AT&T, and then later leading projects at Bearing Point (now Pricewaterhouse Coopers). After co-founding NewEdge, she has provided advisory and project management services to a number of multinational companies, most notably oil and gas majors like Chevron and Phillips 66. Ling has extensive experience managing Learning & Development Projects, Change Management efforts, Service Delivery, and executing Scrum and Scaled Agile project frameworks. She holds a PMP certification, along with Agile Scrum Master, PROSCI, and ITIL certifications.  Ling is the proud mother of 9 year old twin boys, and enjoys spending time with her family when she's not hard at work leading projects!


Erik is a graduate from Carnegie Mellon's Tepper School of Business, starting his career as a trading analyst in the equity markets, and then later as an oil & gas commodities trader at Koch Industries and Citadel. After serving as an SME for a large scale ETRM implementation, Erik started taking on more project leadership roles, eventually transitioning to a full-time Project Manager leading multi-million dollar projects for global corporations like Conoco Phillips and Centrica. Over the last 15 years, Erik has led large-scale digital transformation projects like HR Workday implementations and SAP Hana Migrations, in addition to managing many business critical ETRM and ERP projects. Erik holds a number of industry certifications including the PMP, Agile Scrum Master, Agile Product Owner, and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certifications.  Outside of work, Erik enjoys spending time with his two boys as a coach for their baseball, basketball, and soccer teams, or catching a new movie with his wife Ling.
